            Epha1 Antibody (PA5-47435) in IHC (F)

Immunohistochemical analysis of EphA1 was detected in perfusion fixed frozen sections of mouse thymus using Goat Anti-mouse EphA1 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-47435) at 1.7 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C. Tissue was stained using the Anti-Goat HRP-DAB (brown and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific labeling was localized to thymic stromal cells.

            Product Specific Information

In direct ELISAs, approximately 35% cross-reactivity with recombinant human EphA1 and less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse (rm) EphA4, rmEphA6, and rmEphA7 is observed.

Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

            Target Information

EphA1 belongs to the ephrin receptor subfamily of the protein-tyrosine kinase family. EPH and EPH-related receptors have been implicated in mediating developmental events, particularly in the nervous system. Receptors in the EPH subfamily typically have a single kinase domain and an extracellular region containing a Cys-rich domain and 2 fibronectin type III repeats. The ephrin receptors are divided into 2 groups based on the similarity of their extracellular domain sequences and their affinities for binding ephrin-A and ephrin-B ligands. EphA1 is expressed in some human cancer cell lines and has been implicated in carcinogenesis.
