Multiplexing the TUNEL signal with GFP and RFP

HeLa cells were transduced with CellLight® Mitochondria-GFP, BacMam 2.0 (green) and CellLight® Golgi-RFP, BacMam 2.0 (red). After overnight incubation the cells were subjected to DNase treatment and analyzed for DNA breaks using one of the indicated TUNEL assay kits. When compared to the available TUNEL assays offered by either Roche or Promega, only the Click-iT® Plus Alexa Fluor® 647 assay can simultaneously multiplex both fluorescent proteins.
