Invitrogen
This monoclonal antibody reacts with human cytokeratins 8 and 18, low molecular weight cytokeratins found in simple epithelium and secretory epithelium. Clone Zym5.2 will react with adenocarcinoma, mesothelioma, and carcinoma derived from simple epithelia, but will not react with stratified squamous epithelia. Positive tissue: Normal colon.
Clone/PAD: Zym5.2 (UCD/PR.10-11)
Immunogen: Human keratin 8 & 18
Specificity: Cytokeratin 8 (52.5 kDa) and 18 (45 kDa)
Expected Staining Pattern: Cytoplasmic and membrane
Keratin 8 belongs to the type B (basic) subfamily of high molecular weight keratins and exists in combination with cytokeratin 18 (type A; acidic subfamily of low molecular weight keratins).
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
