Western Blot analysis of DYDC1 in HEK293 lysates (10 µg protein in RIPA buffer) using DYDC1 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-142537) at 1 µg/mL. Lane A: DYDC1 Polyclonal Antibody staining HEK293 overexpressing Human DYDC1 lysate. Lane B: DYDC1 Polyclonal Antibody staining HEK293 mock-transfected lysate. Lane C - anti-MYC Tag (1:1,000) staining HEK293 overexpressing Human DYDC1 lysate. Primary incubations were for 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.

This gene encodes a member of a family of proteins that contains a DPY30 domain. The encoded protein is involved in acrosome formation during spermatid development. This gene locus overlaps with a closely related gene on the opposite strand. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
