EF-1 delta Antibody (A301-685A) in WB
Detection of human EF-1 delta by western blot and immunoprecipitation. Samples: Whole cell lysate (5, 15 and 50 µg for WB; 1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-EF-1 delta antibody (Product # A301-685A) used for WB at 0.04 µg/mL (A) and 1 µg/mL (B) and used for IP at 3 µg/mg lysate. EF-1 delta was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-EF-1 delta antibodies A301-683A and A301-684A, which recognize upstream epitopes. This gene encodes a subunit of the elongation factor-1 complex, which is responsible for the enzymatic delivery of aminoacyl tRNAs to the ribosome. This subunit functions as guanine nucleotide exchange factor. It is reported that this subunit interacts with HIV-1 Tat, and thus it represses the translation of host-cell, but not HIV-1, mRNAs. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been found for this gene.
