FKBP3 Antibody (A302-600A) in IP
Detection of human FKBP3 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-FKBP3 antibody (Product # A302-600A) used for IP at 3 µg/mg lysate. FKBP3 was not successfully immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-FKBP3 antibody A302-601A, which recognizes a downstream epitope. For blotting immunoprecipitated FKBP3, A302-601A was used at 1 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the immunophilin protein family, which play a role in immunoregulation and basic cellular processes involving protein folding and trafficking. This encoded protein is a cis-trans prolyl isomerase that binds the immunosuppressants FK506 and rapamycin, as well as histone deacetylases, the transcription factor YY1, casein kinase II, and nucleolin. It has a higher affinity for rapamycin than for FK506 and thus may be an important target molecule for immunosuppression by rapamycin.
