Immunocytochemistry: The whole cell pellet SiHa (FFPE) stained with Mouse anti-HIVp24 (Cat# 603-420) at 1:200 for 10 min @ RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissue requires boiling tissue sections in 10 mM Citrate Buffer, pH 6.0 for 10 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.

Target Information
HIV-1 Gag p24 is a capsid protein that constitutes the core of the AIDS virus HIV-1 and is produced by the digestion of its precursor Gag p55 by HIV-1 protease. The HIV-1 Gag p24 protein is indispensable to the reproduction of AIDS virus, and constitutes an essential element for the AIDS virus particle construction. HIV-1 Gag p24 is detectable from the early stage of AIDS virus infection, and is used as a marker for observation of the development in the patient’s condition after treatment, as it indicated the amount of virus in the blood.
