Western blot analysis of HRH3 in extracts of various cell lines. Samples were incubated with HRH3 Monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-38074) using a dilution of 1:1,000, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 10s.

Target Information
H3 Histamine Receptor regulates the release of the neurotransmitters norepinephrine and somatostatin. In histamine-containing neurons of the brain, the H3 receptor acts as a presynaptic autoreceptor, while in nonhistamine-containing neurons, in both the central and peripheral nervous systems, it acts as a presynaptic heteroreceptor. Multiple isoforms of H3 receptors are produced by alternative splicing. Histamine H3 receptor has been reported primarily in brain. ESTs have been isolated from brain (normal and cancer), breast cancer, colon cancer, and retinoblastoma libraries.
