MDC1 Antibody (MA5-27650) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescent analysis of MDC1 in mouse fibroblast cell line (NIH 3T3). Sample was fixed with 4% formaldehyde (15 min at RT), incubated with MDC1 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-27650) using a dilution of 1:100 (1 hour at RT), and followed by Goat Anti-Mouse Alexa Fluor 488 and DAPI secondary antibody at a dilution of 1:100 (60 min at RT) and 1:5000 (5 min at RT). Magnification: 60x.

0.5 µg/mL of MA5-27650 was sufficient for detection of MDC1 in 10 µg of HeLa cell lysate by ECL immunoblot analysis.|Detects approximately 184kDa. This antibody recognizes MDC1 at and around the N-terminus.
Target Information
MDC1 participates in the early response to DNA damage. It is thought to be a member of the BRCT (BRCA1 C-terminus) super family of nuclear proteins. It contains an N-terminus forkhead-associated (FHA) motif, two C-terminus BRCT motifs and 13 internal repetitions of a 41 amino acid sequence.
