PHC3 Antibody (A301-570A) in IP
Detection of human PHC3 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-PHC3 antibody (Product # A301-570A) (lot 2) used for IP at 3 µg per reaction. PHC3 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-PHC3 antibody A301-569A. For blotting immunoprecipitated PHC3, A301-569A was used at 1 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.

Target Information
Component of a Polycomb group (PcG) multiprotein PRC1-like complex, a complex class required to maintain the transcriptionally repressive state of many genes, including Hox genes, throughout development. PcG PRC1 complex acts via chromatin remodeling and modification of histones; it mediates monoubiquitination of histone H2A 'Lys-119', rendering chromatin heritably changed in its expressibility.
