Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
The antigen shares 90% identity with SNAP-25.
Specificity of this antibody: SNAP-23 and SNAP-25.
SNAP23 is an essential component of the high affinity receptor for the general membrane fusion machinery and an important regulator of transport vesicle docking and fusion. SNAP25 is involved in the molecular regulation of neurotransmitter release. May play an important role in the synaptic function of specific neuronal systems. Associates with proteins involved in vesicle docking and membrane fusion. Regulates plasma membrane recycling through its interaction with CENPF. Subcellular Location: SNAP-23: Cell membrane; Peripheral membrane protein. Cell junction; synapse; synaptosome. Note: Mainly localized to the plasma membrane. SNAP-25: Cytoplasm; perinuclear region. Cell membrane; Lipid-anchor. Cell junction; synapse; synaptosome. Note: Membrane association requires palmitoylation. Expressed throughout cytoplasm, concentrating at the perinuclear region.
