The Venezuelan Equine Encephalitis Virus NSP2 is a gene target of the Venezuelan equine encephalitis virus (VEEV), which belongs to the Togaviridae family of viruses. The NSP2 gene encodes for a non-structural protein that plays an important role in the replication and pathogenesis of the virus. VEEV is transmitted to humans and animals through the bites of infected mosquitoes, and can cause severe symptoms such as fever, headache, and encephalitis. The NSP2 gene is an important target for the development of antiviral drugs and vaccines against VEEV, as it is essential for the virus to replicate and spread in the host.
