Vitamin K3, also known as menadione, is a synthetic form of vitamin K that is used as a nutritional supplement. It is commonly used in animal feed to prevent vitamin K deficiency and improve overall health and growth. Vitamin K3 is also used in the production of various food and pharmaceutical products. It plays a critical role in blood clotting and bone metabolism, and it has been shown to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. However, excessive intake of vitamin K3 can be toxic and can cause liver damage.
