Click-iT® TUNEL assay in mouse intestine expressing GFP

Detection of apoptosis and DNA strand breaks in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded mouse tissue (JAX, TIE2-GFP). The sample was treated with DNase and proteases to induce DNA strand breaks. DNA fragments were TdT-labeled using the Click-iT® Plus TUNEL assay with Alexa Fluor® 647 picolyl azide (purple) using an intestinal section with blood vessel endothelial cells expressing GFP (green). ReadyProbes® ActinRed (red) was used to label actin, and nuclei were counterstained with NucBlue® Live Cell stain (blue). An area covering the entire intestinal section was scanned at 10x magnification using the EVOS® FL Auto imaging system. The resulting image, consisting of 24 individual images, was created using the automated tile-stitch function.
