The History and Promise of Exosome Research

In the late 1990s, there was a new discovery made by scientists in Holland studying immune cells. They showed functions of the cells were carried within the exosomes. Exosomes have recently been shown to communicate with the lymphatic system, to either protect or defend against cancer cells. Scientists are currently studying both diagnostic and therapeutic applications of exosomes.

A range of specific tools and technologies are needed for the isolation, analysis, and research of exosomes and their cargo. Learn about products developed to simplify the overall research and study of exosomes.
