Multiplexed genome editing using Cas9 mRNA and in vitro transcribed gRNA for microinjection
Other potential applications of Cas9 mRNA include generation of transgenic model systems. Here is a workflow for using GeneArt® CRISPR Nuclease mRNA in microinjection or other in vivo–mediated delivery into hosts for transgenic model system generation. This system reduces the protocol time significantly; traditional methods take 4 months or more, whereas using this CRISPR-Cas9 system takes only 4 weeks.
