General Description

• Itraconazole is an aromatic ether that works as a strong inhibitor of P-glycoproteins and CYP3A4

• Itraconazole also acts as a hedgehog signaling inhibitor and P450 inhibitor

Applications

• Itraconazole can be exhibits antifungal activity against organisms including aspergillosis, blastomycosis, candidiasis, chromoblastomycosis, coccidioidomycosis, cryptococcosis, histoplasmosis, and sporotrichosis

• Itraconazole may be used to experimentally target the delivery of other molecules, such as plasmids, to cells
