Recommended Use

The PCM-3000 can be used for monitoring gradient formation in salt- or pH-gradient-based ion-exchange chromatography (IEC), typically used for biopharmaceutical analysis.

pH gradients are often used for proteins and large molecules where polarity differences alone can’t resolve different species with a typical organic gradient.

IEC is a versatile separation technique for profiling the charge heterogeneity of biotherapeutic proteins, including monoclonal antibodies (MAbs). The elution can be driven by pH, ionic strength, or a combination of these two parameters. The PCM-3000 can also be used to find the optimal elution conditions for specific proteins and MAbs.

Features

  • Provides simultaneous pH and conductivity monitoring over wide dynamic ranges.
  • Wide flow rate range (up to 100mL/min.) maximizes application flexibility.
  • Low-volume flow cells offer short response times and compatibility with low flow rates.
  • Temperature compensation of conductivity and pH results ensures accuracy.
  • Cost-effective, plug-and-play device is easy to use and easy on your budget.
