Dynabeads Carboxylic Acid for RNA Purification are intended for simple, scalable, and automatable purification of crude RNA produced by in vitro transcription (IVT) (figure below) in combination with Dynabeads RNA Binding Buffer (available separately). It is particularly suitable where flexibility and high purity are required, such as in the discovery phase of RNA-based vaccines and therapeutics development.
The product contains monosized (1 μm), monodispersed, paramagnetic beads characterized by high speed-to-magnet and high pellet stability. The concentration of the beads is 10 mg/mL. The beads are stored in purified water and may be recycled for at least six times.
Features of Dynabeads Carboxylic Acid for RNA Purification include:
Overview of the workflow
Crude RNA from an IVT reaction step is mixed with the Dynabeads Carboxylic Acid for RNA Purification, and Dynabeads RNA Binding Buffer (not included) is added. The RNA binds to the bead surface and the remaining components of the reaction mixture are removed by a magnet (see thermofisher.com/magnets) and discarding of the supernatant (figure below).
The beads are offered as a stand-alone product. They are also included in the Dynabeads RNA Purification and Dynabeads In Vitro Transcription and RNA Purification kits.
Automation-ready for use with KingFisher purification systems
The 1-μm magnetic beads are ideal for high-throughput screening. The process can be automated using liquid handlers or any of our KingFisher sample purification systems. The scripts for KingFisher Flex and KingFisher Apex automated purification workflows are available from our website.
