FormLiquid
2-Fluoropyridine is a useful precursor of 2,3-disubstituted pyridines which is made by the possibility of metallation at C-3, together with the ready nucleophilic displacement of the activated fluorine. It can also react with thiophene to get 2-thiophen-2-yl-pyridine. It is used in the synthesis of aminopyridines.

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.
