The muscle relaxant Mephenesin is an ether derived from o-cresol. Used as adhesives and sealant chemicals, fuels and fuel additives, intermediates, Solvents, Paints and coatings.

Solubility
Soluble in chloroform, ether. Insoluble in water but soluble in about 40 parts water. Soluble in carbon tetrachloride
