Descripción

2-Picolinic acid is used as a chelate for alkaline earth metals. Used to prepare picolinato ligated transition metal complexes. In synthetic organic chemistry, has been used as a substrate in the Mitsunobu reaction and in the Hammick reaction.

Aplicaciones
El ácido 2-picolínico se utiliza como quelato para metales alcalinotérreos. Se utiliza para preparar complejos metálicos de transición ligados de picolinato. En química orgánica sintética, se ha utilizado como sustrato en la reacción de Mitsunobu y en la reacción de Hammick.

Solubilidad
Soluble en agua. También soluble en ácido acético glacial, etanol y metanol. Insoluble en cloroformo.

Notas
Estable en las condiciones de almacenamiento recomendadas. Incompatible con agentes oxidantes, agentes reductores y bases.
