It finds its uses as a catalyst to make polyesters, a filler for polypropylene (flame-resistant), and in glass optical waveguides. Soluble in water at 20°C 5g/L. Insoluble in ethanol. Solubility in N,N-DMF is almost transparent.

Store away from oxidizing agents. Keep the container tightly closed and place it in a cool, dry and well ventilated condition.
