The Thermo Scientific KingFisher Ready MagMAX Viral/Pathogen II (MVP II) Prefilled Plates are specifically designed for scalable, rapid purification of high-quality total nucleic acid (RNA and DNA) from easy-to-lyse virus in saliva and transport media from nasopharyngeal swabs.

Features of the Kingfisher Ready MVP II Prefilled Plates include:

  • Automation-ready script designed for KingFisher Flex system
  • Fast procedure allows for 96 samples to be processed in <30 minutes on KingFisher Flex system
  • Flexible protocol accommodates sample inputs from nasopharyngeal swabs and saliva
  • Elution volume: 50 μL

Benefits of MagMAX magnetic bead–based purification

The plates utilize MagMAX magnetic-bead technology, ensuring reproducible recovery of high-quality nucleic acid for a range of downstream applications, such as sequencing and qPCR. Additionally, because filters and vacuum manifolds are not used, there is no risk of filter clogging due to cellular particulates in samples. This clogging issue is of particular concern with protein-rich, large-volume samples such as whole blood or plasma that are commonly used for viral testing.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
