Features of the MagMAX Sequential DNA/RNA Kit include:
Made for KingFisher purification systems
The MagMAX Sequential DNA/RNA Kit is compatible with the KingFisher Duo Prime, KingFisher Flex, and KingFisher Apex purification systems, allowing for a semi-automated workflow with a total turnaround time in about 2.5 hours. By isolating genomic DNA and total RNA from a single sample in one sequential workflow, the MagMAX Sequential DNA/RNA Kit simplifies nucleic acid purification for a broad range of molecular downstream applications, such as PCR and sequencing. This all-in-one kit is an excellent choice for researchers seeking an automated, efficient workflow that delivers reliable results from limited sample material.
Working with higher throughput sample numbers or input volumes?
The MagMAX Sequential DNA/RNA Kit reagents are also available as stand-alone products sold separately. These reagents come in larger volumes to facilitate high-throughput sample processing and accommodate higher sample input volumes. When purchased as a set of eleven stand-alone reagents, users will have sufficient MagMAX Sequential DNA/RNA reagent volumes to process 440 samples ranging from 50–150 μL each.
Yes, the MagMAX Sequential DNA/RNA Kit can be used to isolate total RNA, including small RNAs, down to 20 nucleotides.

We have not verified nucleic acid isolation from whole blood using sample input volumes <100 µL. It may be possible to isolate nucleic acid from a sample input volume of <100 µL of whole blood by bringing the volume up to 100 µL using phosphate buffered saline (PBS). Users are advised to conduct their own assessments and analytical validations in accordance with their laboratory guidelines.

We have not verified nucleic acid isolation from bone marrow using sample input volumes <50 µL. It may be possible to isolate nucleic acid from a sample input volume of <50 µL of bone marrow by bringing the volume up to 100 µL using phosphate buffered saline (PBS). Users are advised to conduct their own assessments and analytical validations in accordance with their laboratory guidelines.

The maximum sample input volume that can be used with the 96 deep-well plate format is 150 µL. Sample input volumes greater than 150 µL, combined with reagents exceed the maximum well volume of 1 mL for a 96 deep-well plate. Sample input volumes ranging from 200-500 µL require the use of the 24 deep-well plate format.
