Superior performance and a faster workflow
Alexa Fluor antibody labeling kits deliver superior results with lower background fluorescence, reduced nonspecific binding, and streamlined workflows. Each kit is equipped with materials for three antibody conjugation reactions with one of ten different fluorophores or biotin. Bright, photostable Alexa Fluor dyes react efficiently with primary amines of proteins to form stable dye–protein conjugates. Removal of free dye with the included spin columns enables accurate determination of dye‐to‐protein ratios.
The Alexa Fluor antibody labeling protocol is simple and rapid, ensuring minimal hands-on time and reliable results. The kits include all necessary reagents for antibody labeling, including amine-reactive dye, buffer, and purification columns. The reactive dyes contained in these kits readily react with lysine residues in antibodies or proteins to yield a covalently attached fluorescence-based sensor. Spin columns included in the kits are used for purifying the labeled antibody from excess dye with yields of 70–95%. The kits contain sufficient reagents for three labeling reactions of 20 to 100 μg of antibody. The wide variety of colors are compatible with various detection systems, including fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, and high content imaging platforms.
