Applications
It finds its application as an intermediate in the synthesis of Cefotiam. It is also used as a catalyst in the synthesis of allylic nitro compounds.

Fully miscible in water.

Notes
Air sensitive & hygroscopic. Store away from oxidizing agents, air and water/moisture. Keep the container tightly closed and place it in a cool, dry and well ventilated condition. Store under inert gas. Protect from electrostatic charges.
