Description

Boron trichloride is used in semiconductor production and in the preparation of other boron compounds. It serves as a reagent in the preparation of various protease inhibitors. It is also used as a catalyst and soldering flux. It is involved in the improvement of aluminum castings by treating with boron trichloride vapors. It is utilized to produce electrical resistors. It is also used as a metal refining agent, especially for aluminum, magnesium, zinc and copper alloys. Further, it is used in the preparation of nanomaterials such as nanofibers and nanotubes. In addition to this, it is used in the field of high energy fuels and rocket propellants.
