Storage Jars
Use storage jars for gathering and collecting samples, specimens, and lab supplies. For optimal clarity, plastic jars are optimal; their straight sides also enable full-access for complete sample removal. For withstanding wide temperature ranges, polypropylene plastic jars are optimal and usually autoclavable. These features make them excellent for cold-room use and refrigeration. For glass-like quality, polystyrene plastic jars offer chemical resistance to household oils and solvents, aqueous products, acids, alcohols, and alkalis. Products include Thermo Scientific™ Nalgene™ Wide-Mouth Straight-Sided PMP Jars with White Polypropylene Screw Closures, which are designed to protect against breakage and contamination while offering light weight, good clarity, and excellent chemical resistance.
