Sodium orthovanadate, is used as an inhibitor of several phosphatases and kinases such as protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), and ATPase. It also acts as an inhibitor of adenosine kinase (AK) and phosphofructokinase (PFK). It also suppresses p53-mediated apoptosis by transcription-dependent and -independent pathways.
This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.
