• Apramycin is a 2-deoxysteptamine derivative and an aminoglycoside originally isolated from Streptomyces tenebrarius
• Apramycin sulfate is comprised of a bicyclic sugar moiety and a monosubstituted deoxystreptamine attached to a sulfate group

Application

• Apramycin sulfate exhibits antibiotic activity against gram-negative bacteria
• It is suitable for laboratory use against Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa
• It is also used for laboratory study of infectious disease
