It is used as reagent in Synthesis of push-pull tropylium-fused aminoporphyrazine, Preparation of cycloheptatrienyl and tropylium calix[4]arenes, Synthesis of palladacycles containing chiral rhenium half-sandwich complex for use as a catalyst.
