2-Hydroxybenzophenone was used to quantify the metabolites of unmethylated extracts from the supernatants of Pseudomonas acidovorans cultures grown on 1,1-diphenylethylene. It reacts with 3-aminophenyl boronic acid to form macrocyclic boronates. 2-Hydroxybenzophenone forms copolymer 2-hydroxy, 3-allyl, 4,4?-dimethoxybenzophenone with methyl methacrylate.

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.
