This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-58199. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Target Information
This gene encodes a protein highly similar to the mouse MAP6 domain containing 1 protein, which is related to the STOP proteins. Based on the study of the mouse protein, the encoded protein may function as a calmodulin-regulated neuronal protein that binds and stabilizes microtubules but also associates with the Golgi membranes through N-terminal palmitoylation.
