Beschreibung

2-Aminobenzyl alcohol is oxidatively cyclised with an array of ketones in dioxane at 80°C in the presence of a ruthenium catalyst and KOH to give corresponding quinolines. It undergoes oxidation catalyzed by heterotrimetallic RuMnMn species on the hydrotalcite surface in the presence of O2 to yield 2-aminobenzaldehyde. was used in the synthesis of ethyl 2-hydroxymethylcarbanilate.

Anwendungen
2-Aminobenzylalkohol wird oxidativ mit einer Reihe von Ketonen in Dioxan bei 80 °C in Gegenwart eines Rutheniumkatalysators und KOH zykliert, um entsprechende Chinoline zu geben. Es unterliegt Oxidation katalysiert durch heterotrimetallische RuMnMn-Spezies auf der Hydrotalcit-Oberfläche in Anwesenheit von O2, um 2-Aminobenzaldehyd yu ergeben. Wurde in der Synthese von Ethyl-2-Hydroxymethylcarbanilat verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Sehr gut in Wasser löslich.

Bei Raumtemperatur lagern. Nicht kompatibel mit Oxidationsmitteln.
