Description

3-Methyl-2-benzothiazolinone hydrazone hydrochloride hydrate is used in the synthesis of benzothiazolium azo dyes. It is a chromogenic reagent used for the determination of cholesterol, benzodiazepines and enzyme activity. As an electrophilic coupling reagent, it is used in the spectrophotometric determination of chloramine-B (CAB) and other residual chlorine content in various environmental water samples.
