Simplify allergen testing with ELISA Systems™ Total Milk Residue Detection Kit which helps ensure compliance with food product labeling requirements. The enzyme linked immunosorbent assay is designed to deliver simple, sensitive, and fast detection and quantification of the total milk proteins. The assay detects αS-Casein as a marker of casein and β-lactoglobulin as a marker of whey protein. This complete, ready-to-use kit is developed and optimized for rapid and reliable test results which significantly reduce the time required to screen appropriate food products for the presence of casein.
Milk is a source of food allergies and must be excluded from the diet of susceptible individuals. Milk protein is comprised of casein and whey proteins. These proteins are present together in whole milk, but they may also be present individually in some products.

Results are expressed in terms of ppm milk protein or equivalents (conversion tables can be supplied).

All results should be interpreted as part of a HACCP plan for food allergens. Any sample returning a positive result should be regarded as a presumptive result, and confirmation or further testing should be performed.
