The BLOCK-iT™ Alexa Fluor™ Red Fluorescent Control is an ideal indicator of lipid-mediated transfection efficiency for RNAi experiments, particularly those using the Lipofectamine™ RNAiMAX Transfection Reagent. The sequence of the BLOCK-iT™ Alexa Fluor™ Red Fluorescent Control is not homologous to any known gene, preventing induction of nonspecific cellular events caused by introduction of the duplex into cells. The BLOCK-iT™ Alexa Fluor™ Red Fluorescent Control provides:
• A strong, easily detectable, and photostable Alexa Fluor™ 555* signal indicating transfection efficiency
• Chemical modifications for a clearer, more persistent cellular signal than with labeled siRNA
• Proven correlation of transfection efficiency with Stealth RNAi™ siRNA and traditional siRNA molecules *This dye can be detected using standard filter sets designed for Alexa Fluor™ 555, Cy™3, DsRed, Texas Red™, or rhodamine fluorophores.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
