Get higher sensitivity and lower noise for your anion separations. The Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ AERS™ 500 Carbonate Electrolytically Regenerated Suppressor is designed for anion exchange chromatography using carbonate-based eluents. With this anion electrolytically regenerated suppressor, you won't have to mix regenerants. The suppressor relies on electrolysis for automatic, continuous regeneration, yet it delivers low noise levels similar to chemically regenerated suppressor, minimizes peak dispersion and improves peak efficiency, particularly with 4μm based anion-exchange columns.

Improves quality of results

The Dionex AERS 500 Carbonate suppressors have the same fit, form and function as the Dionex AERS 500 suppressors, but have a modified electrode configuration designed to reduce gas production towards the outlet of the suppressor. This results in less deformation of the electric field, thus producing a more homogenous generation of carbonic acid and reducing background noise during operation so that the suppressor:

  • Reduces baseline noise
  • Increases sensitivity so that it rivals chemical regeneration
  • Delivers the benefits and ease-of-use of electrolytic regeneration

Key benefits
  • Low noise levels, typically less than 1.5nS, when operated with most common carbonate eluents
  • Quality Assurance Report provided with each unit, showing product test results with a typical carbonate / bicarbonate eluent
  • Improved peak efficiency for improved performance, particularly when coupled with 4μm based columns
  • Parallel Regenerant Flow allowing easy operation in external water mode
  • Full electrolytic regeneration without reagents allowing easier recoveries after operation without current
