Concentrate weak acid anions such as carboxylates by using the Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ SolEx™ SAX Polymer-Based SPE Cartridge. The stationary phase is comprised of a 22μm high surface area divinylbenzene resin particle grafted with an aromatic quaternary ammonium functionality and conditioned to a pH where the target analytes are charged (about 2 pH units above the pKa). The cartridge is designed for use with the Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ AutoTrace™ 280 SPE system or other SPE instrumentation and vacuum manifolds.
Exceptional Characteristics After the system loads the sample and washing the phase, the targets are eluted as neutral species with solvent and at the pH about 2 pH units below the pKa.

About Dionex SolEx SPE Cartridges Dionex SolEx SPE Cartridges extract organic pollutants from a liquid sample off-line using a solid-phase adsorbent. The cartridges employ a variety of chemistries depending on the application. The silica- or carbon-based absorbents are bound or encapsulated in a membrane filter (called disk format), or packed in a cartridge (syringe bodies). Water (ground, waste, and drinking) is the most common liquid sample extracted, but these SPE cartridges are also used to extract contaminants from milk, fruit juices, urine, and other matrices. These cartridges are desgined for use with Dionex AutoTrace 280 SPE system or other SPE instrumentation and vacuum manifolds.
