Invitrolon PVDF/Filter Paper Sandwiches, 0.45 μm, have excellent binding properties for western blotting, dot-blot assays, and protein sequencing. The 0.45-μm pore size makes these membranes ideal for protein transfer for proteins >10 kDa. The included extra-thick absorbent blotting paper (2.5 mm) accommodates blotting set-up using semi-dry transfer apparatuses.
Features • Membrane: polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF) • Filter paper thickness: 2.5 mm • Binding capacity: goat IgG: 294 μg/cm2; BSA: 131 μg/cm2; insulin: 85 μg/cm2 • Re-probe characteristics: yes • Pre-activation: required with 100% alcohol (methanol) • Compatibility: compatible with commonly used transfer conditions and detection methods such as staining, chemiluminescence, and radiolabeling • Durability: compatible with most organic solvents, acids, and mild bases
