Nitrocellulose/Filter Paper Sandwiches, 0.2 μm, are high-quality membranes ideal for blotting proteins and nucleic acids. The 0.2-μm pore size is ideal for the transfer of low molecular weight proteins (<20 kDa) or peptides and nucleic acids (<300 bp). The included extra-thick, absorbent blotting paper (2.5 mm) accommodates blotting set-up using semi-dry transfer apparatuses.
Features: • Membrane: 100% pure nitrocellulose • Filter paper thickness: 2.5 mm • Binding capacity: ∼80 μg/cm2 of proteins • Binding interactions: hydrophobic and electrostatic • Compatibility: compatible with commonly used transfer conditions and detection methods such as staining, immunodetection, chemiluminescence, fluorescence, and radiolabeling • Supplied in a pre-cut, pre-assembled membrane/filter paper sandwich
