ReadyProbes Streptavidin/Biotin Blocking Solution blocks endogenous biotin, biotin receptors, and streptavidin binding sites present in many types of tissue, reducing background signal in immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunocytochemistry (ICC), immunofluorescence (IF), and in situ hybridization (ISH) procedures. This two-component solution (a streptavidin-blocking solution and a biotin-blocking solution) is provided in a ready-to-use format—just add a few drops of the streptavidin component and incubate for 15 minutes, then wash and repeat with the biotin component. ReadyProbes Streptavidin/Biotin Blocking Solution is used after the blocking of cells/tissue with standard non-specific blocking solution (e.g., diluted serum), but before the primary antibody step.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
