This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-64904. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
The expression of multiple classes of voltage dependent calcium channels (VDCC’s) allows neurons to tailor calcium signaling to functionally discrete cellular regions. Although N-Type VDCC’s exist before birth which is consistent with a role in migration, most N-Type VDCC’s subunit expression is postnatal and is important in the genesis of synaptic transmission in discrete hippocampal fields.
