For maximum recovery please spin prior to use. Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 µg, 10 µg and 20 µg sizes of kinase are not recommended as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted. For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots, aliquots below 20 µL are not recommended. Please never store a kinase diluted. If properly stored at -80C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase.

The gene accession number for the subunits (CDK1/Cyclin A2) are NP_001777.1 and NP_001228.1.
CDK1, or Cyclin-Dependent Kinase 1, is a critical member of the cyclin-dependent kinase family that regulates cell cycle progression. CDK1 is essential for the transition from the G2 phase to the M phase and for the progression through mitosis.
Cyclin A2 is a regulatory subunit that binds to CDK1 and activates its kinase activity. The binding of Cyclin A2 to CDK1 is necessary for the proper functioning of CDK1, as cyclins regulate the activation and specificity of CDKs.
Together, the CDK1/Cyclin A2 complex plays a vital role in the regulation of the cell cycle, particularly during the S phase and the G2/M transition. This complex is involved in the phosphorylation of key substrates required for DNA replication, the initiation of mitosis, and the proper alignment and separation of chromosomes, ensuring accurate and orderly cell division.
