This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-67019. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Target Information
WEE1, which is classified as a Ser/Thr kinase by sequence analysis, has been shown to inactivate multiple CDKs by tyrosine phosphorylation. Wee1 protein catalyzes the inhibitory tyrosine phosphorylation of CDC2/cyclin B kinase, and appears to coordinate the transition between DNA replication and mitosis by protecting the nucleus from cytoplasmically activated CDC2 kinase.
