Flt3-Ligand (FLT3L) is a growth factor that regulates proliferation of early hematopoietic cells. Flt3-Ligand binds to cells expressing the tyrosine kinase receptor Flt3. Flt3-Ligand, by itself does not stimulate proliferation of early hematopoietic cells, but synergizes with other colony-stimulating factors and interleukins to induce growth and differentiation. Multiple isoforms of Flt3-Ligand have been identified. The predominant biologically active form is anchored to the cell surface as the extracellular domain of a transmembrane protein (209 a.a.). The membrane-bound isoform can be proteolytically cleaved to generate a biologically active soluble isoform. Recombinant Human Flt3-Ligand is a soluble 17.6 kDa protein consisting of 155 amino acid residues.
PeproGMP FLT3L cytokine is most often used with PeproGMP SCF and PeproGMP TPO (thrombopoietin) in ex-vivo cell therapy for the proliferation of hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) cultures, along with IL-3 and IL-6 for further synergistic expansion and immune cell maturation.
Additional product information , specifications, handling and reconstitution information are provided on the Certificate of Analysis.
All PeproGMP® products are manufactured using animal-derived component free materials.
Product Description/Intended Use: PeproTech GMP recombinant proteins are manufactured for use as ancillary materials by applying applicable principles of GMP and quality control requirements from USP (United States Pharmacopeia) Chapter <1043> Ancillary Materials for Cell, Gene, and Tissue-Engineered Products.
FLT3LG (Fms Related Tyrosine Kinase 3 Ligand) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with FLT3LG include Aplastic Anemia and Brain Cancer. Among its related pathways are Hematopoietic Stem Cell Differentiation Pathways and Lineage-specific Markers and Ras signaling pathway. Gene Ontology (GO) annotations related to this gene include protein homodimerization activity and cytokine activity. Dendritic cells (DCs) provide the key link between innate and adaptive immunity by recognizing pathogens and priming pathogen-specific immune responses. FLT3LG controls the development of DCs and is particularly important for plasmacytoid DCs and CD8-positive classical DCs and their CD103-positive tissue counterparts.
For research use or further manufacturing. Not for diagnostic use or direct administration into humans or animals.
