Evaporating Dishes

Evaporating Dishes

Evaporating dishes are tools used to separate liquids and solids from a solution via evaporation of water or other solvents. These dishes are shallow, have a large open surface, and have a pouring spout to promote evaporation and permit easy sample transfer. Dishes are available in porcelain, borosilicate glass, glassy carbon, and PTFE. Dishes made of porcelain and borosilicate glass are safe to use on Bunsen burners.
