Coagulation controls are plasma products that contain a known quantity of heparin and fibrinogen for use as a control during coagulation tests in clinical settings. These products may be used to monitor aPTT and PT times, calibrate clinical chemistry analyzers, and evaluate patients on heparin therapy.
