Volume Operations: Flip, Swap, Auto-Crop, and Enlarge

This Xtra is a set composed of the following modules:

• Flip and Swap for scalar and label fields,
• Flip and Swap for vector fields,
• Enlarge for scalar and label fields,
• Auto-Crop for scalar and label fields.

The features exposed in this Xtra are already available from the Crop Editor in Amira and Avizo Software. The benefit of having the features now available from modules is to be able to script and automate them.

Flip and Swap for scalar and label fields: this Xtra flips (reverts the order of slices in one specified dimension) or swaps (interchanges specified dimensions) the input data.

Flip and Swap for vector fields: this Xtra flips (reverts the order of slices in one specified dimension) or swaps (interchanges specified dimensions) the input vector field. It also offers the possibility to mirror the vector field (flip it and invert the vectors orientation in the corresponding direction).

Enlarge for scalar and label fields: this Xtra enlarges the input data in specified directions and by a specified number of pixels. The value assigned to the added pixels can be set to a constant value or to the replication of the border slices.

Auto-Crop for scalar and label fields: this Xtra crops the input data, taking into account a specified threshold value.

The modules can be created by right-clicking on the data, then searching for Xtra > Volume Operations.
